The evolution of commodity inspection

Product certifaction history

The evolution of commodity inspection
In order to galvanize the development of the economy, the commodity inspection in 1959 was mainly for exported items, such as fertilizers, tea leaves, bananas, canned food (pineapple, aquatic products (eels), etc.)  Along with the development of the foreign trade of Taiwan, we gradually expanded our business to the imported-and-exported commodity inspection and quarantine.
Around the 1960s and 1970s, the scope of the major part of the inspected commodities changed to include small appliances, textile, fibers, chemical industrial goods, foods, and electronic/electric/ mechanical items.  Our mission was to provide and ensure quality service for foreign trade, keep our products’ quality in line with the world standards, and promote innovation and development.
Since 2000, along with the domestic economic boost, the improved living quality, and heightened consumer awareness, commodity quality, safety and public hygiene have grabbed increasing attention of our society.  Therefore, in order to ensure public health and safety, the import and domestic inspections have overtaken the export part, becoming the core of our business.
